ho ricevuto da due colleghi americani (Albert Ascoli e Ben Lawton) due lettere che sdrammatizzano sui "virus allarm" che circolano tra gli utenti di posta elettronica. Avevo gia' mandato diversi messaggi su questo argomento: in cui fra l'altro si diceva di come fosse molto difficile che i virus potessero viaggiare via e-mail. I nostri due colleghi ci dicono che questi "virus allarms" sono molto spesso uno scherzo di cattivo gusto (hoax). Ben Lawton riporta diverse e-mails in cui dice che sono degli scherzi i seguenti "allarms": Good Times, Irina, Penpal greetings, Deeyenda, e quest'ultimo (Win a holiday) di cui vi dicevo nell'ultima "Notizie brevi" e' sospettato da Lawton e Ascoli di essere anch'esso uno scherzo. I virus sono un problema serio, ma non dovrebbero spaventare chi usa la posta elettronica, e soprattutto non devono spaventare chi usa i computer Macintosh. Affronto l'argomento da non-tecnico: forse sdrammatizzo troppo? Da Lettere Italiane non vi arriveranno virus! (Ma qualche scherzo non e' da escludere!)
