For the
The University of Pennsylvania
Department of Romance Languages
Working Papers Series

WHY?

  • It is a great opportunity to improve your research, writing, and professional skills.
  • A work published in a Working Papers Series has a better chance of getting published later.
  • The peer review process often helps the author/researcher to improve his/her work and put him/her in touch with other colleagues working in the same area.

WHAT?

We are accepting submissions in Romance Philology, French and Francophone Literature, Hispanic and Italian Literature and Italian Studies, including work in literary theory and history, area studies, and historical linguistics.

HOW?

Papers may be in English or in any of the above mentioned languages. They should not exceed fifteen double-spaced pages and should be formatted according to MLA style specifications. Submit your anonymous paper with a separate self-addressed, stamped envelope and a cover sheet stating the title of your paper, your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and academic affiliation by April 1, 1996.

In addition, should you want to receive the comments our reading committee makes on your paper, please state so on your cover page.
