Since you published details of our journal, we would like to communicate the the latest issue was dedicated to Africa Italian Voices and contains a number of unpublished texts by african immigrants currently writing in Italian. It also contains an interesting editorial, three interviews and three critical essays.

Call for Papers

for inclusion in a Special Session at the 1996 Modern Language Association Convention to be held in Washington D.C. December 26-29.

The Session is tentatively titled:

Identities, National and Individual in Turn of the Century Triestine Writers.

The intention in organizing this session is to provide a forum for the discussion of the relationship between national and individual identity in the works of writers active in Trieste during the turn of the century, such as Svevo, Joyce, Slataper, Saba, Michelstaedter and others. Interested participants are asked to respond to Eric Aversa, preferrably by email at
